Procedure of Applying Norway Universities  for Study

After high-school or graduation, students tend to get confuse where to study and go next. And most of the students are willing to study abroad into new and more developed countries choosing well known universities so that they can have new experience and gain several knowledge from that country.
Among all of the countries, students also mostly want to apply for European countries and Norway is one of the best known country for its quality education. Since, the tuition fee to study in Norway is free, the process is quite difficult but the deserving study are most likely to be choosen by the Universities of the country if the process is correct.
You can yourself search for the right university, right course and apply for student visa all online by yourself.
So, here are few steps to be taken for applying for Student visa in Norway.

Every now and then, according to the university schedule, the admission is opened by the college in the related subjects.
There is a this website that has all the list of the universities in Norway. This list of all the colleges are to be search online by ourself and see if the admission are open or not.

Once you have found the right college where the admission is open with your desired course, you need to check the requirements of the college carefully like your academic qualification, language preferred, English Proficiency Language test, etc.
When all the requirements are fulfilled and you are eligible for the course once again you need to visit the same website:

Among the list of colleges, you need to select the college where you found your desired course and logon to that college.

After that you will see a new page, where you will be asked for Norwegian Identification Number. But since you are new to this country and do not have ID Number you need to skip that and click on the option Login for users without Norwegian National Identification Number.

After that as you are new so you need to register your name by clicking in Register International Applicant.

After that a form will open which should be filled correctly

After all the form filling steps, you will get a new dialogue box where if there is admission they will show you the further process.



When you finally done with registration and applying for the college, you will get the confirmation mail in your mail address that your application is dropped.

But this is not it, still the college will takes certain days as mentioned by the college in the mail to process your application.



After your selection, the college will ask you for the attested documents to be sent to the college directly by courier service.

When all your documents are attested properly and correctly from all the authorities then you will have to courier the documents directly to the college address from courier office within the days that the university has permitted.

All the documents are to be send ourselves but the English Proficiency Langauage Test Paper (IELTS) are to send to be directly send from the British Council Office.



Later when the documents are securely reached, the college further takes time for the process and ask us to be patient for the result.

After the certain time limit, the college provides us the result through mail itself if we are selected or not. If we are selected then the college sends us the offer letter.



After our offer letter is approved, we need to consult with the embassy of Norway. The embassy further gives us information about other documents need to be shown for the visa application like police report, insurance, income source, etc.



When we get all our required documents ready, we need to take the date for visa application and apply for the visa.



The offer letter of college means there is 90% chance that you’ll get VISA and rest 10% are based on your interview for the VISA application.



Finally the steps and over and you will have to wait for the result.

If you show your best performance, you will surely get the VISA for studying in Norway.
